I wanted to tell you that I'll be teaching Essentrics this fall for the City of Dorval. Every class will vary from all standing to a combination of standing and floor work.

No weights needed during Essentrics
Essentrics use our body as a natural tool for weight and resistance training. In every Essentrics, we move slowly using our body weight, core and legs to strengthen our muscles and bones in our entire body. In every Essentrics class, we are in continuous motion, flowing and dynamic helping us to strength-train our muscles while stretching to improve our flexibility and range of motion.
Essentrics to Music, The Right Tempo Requires Muscle Strength, Not Momentum
We use music to help us move slowly because Essentrics consistent and continuous movements are important to weight training. There is no momentum, we apply our core and leg strength to evenly move and sway left to right. We slow down and therefore expend more effort - this effort contributes to stress in our muscles and bones helping us to build muscle strength.
