What are the benefits of attending the Yin & Yang Yoga Virtual Retreat?
Yin qualities can be thought of as more internal, passive and cooling, while Yang is more external, dynamic, warming and upward.
Yin and Yang are relative to each other, and one cannot exist without the other. It's like day and night where the two - Yin and Yang - make up the whole.
Yin Yang Yoga blends two styles of yoga into one practise – bringing together the benefits of passively holding yoga poses with more dynamic sequences and standing postures.
For balanced yoga practice, we need both Yang and Yin elements, whether by including two or three Yin or Restorative yoga sessions with an active yoga practise such as vinyasa. For this retreat, we will incorporate the yin aspect into our yang yoga practice, such as longer-held asanas.
You'll get to experience all the benefits of yin-style yoga with an active yoga practice in one 90-minute class.
